SmartTank, solution to reduce a theft of fertilizers, received the main prize at the Idea Garage Agro Security
More than 60 innovators took part in the Agro Security Idea Garage, organized by Agrohub with the support of Agroscope International. Participants were specialists in agricultural security, coders, designers, farmers and startups.
The goal of the Idea Garage Agro Security is a collaboration of agricultural experts from the leading Ukrainian agroholdings Mriya, Agricom Group and IMK and innovators. Agroholdings presented to participants their actual security problems, and innovators proposed solutions.
The goal of our events is to coordinate farmers with IT market, startups and entrepreneurs, to make direct communication between developers and corporations, — said Julia Poroshenko, the founder of Agrohub.
Idea Garage can present problems and find a solution. Very often people who go to such events do not participate in agricultural ones. So, it partially solves the problem of communication between IT and farmers, and give a solution you need, — says CINO of IMK Bogdan Krivitsky.
The best idea at the Agro Security Idea Garage was SmartTank, the cumulative hardware-software system that significantly reduces risks of agrochemistry theft in the fields. The winning team received 10`000 hryvnia for the development of the project. The author of SmartTank solution, Dmitry Mayboroda, said: Our idea was supported. For us this is one more confirmation that we are on the right track. But most important, we received feedback on the product directly from experts. It means that we already have a number of advantages for developing a product.
